What happens if I am injured but it was not my fault? You may be feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. If you cannot go to work but you have a family to take care of, you may be afraid of how you are going to provide. If you are in pain and suffering you may not have the energy to handle the situation appropriately and feel bogged down by piles of insurance paperwork and medical forms. Don't just throw in the towel. Call or email an injury lawyer at Mann Law and let us do all the heavy lifting while you focus on your health and recovery. Talk to a Mann Law attorney and have a partner to be your friend and confidante while you get treatment for your injury and focus on your road to recovery. Our lawyers are real people just like you. Some of our lawyers have even been victims of an accident and gone through the injury claim process too. We have empathy and understand that dealing with an injury is disruptive and can uproot your life. We understand the fears of the unknown that one encounters when they cannot be the person they normally are because you are physically limited. We understand the frustration and aggravation that you are experiencing. We can help. You owe it to yourself to get compensated by the person who hurt you. It is not just about the money. It is about feeing whole again. It is about vindication. It is about fairness. If somebody else made a mistake and you may be permanently scarred, impaired, disabled, or limited physically in any way, talk to a Mann Law attorney about righting the wrong, getting the compensation you deserve, and simply sticking up for yourself and maintaining your self-worth. After an injury is not the time to be generous to others, it is a time to take care of yourself and the people you care about. It is about doing what is right for you. If you are injured and it wasn't your fault, or even if it was partly your fault, call us and you will find a lawyer whose bottom line is righting a wrong and standing up for you.

How do you know if you are being discriminated against in the workplace?
If you are a member of a protected class based on your race, ethnicity, religion, age, orientation, disability, national origin, or gender, and your employer or co-worker treats you disparately than similarly situated members of a different class of individuals, you may be the victim of discrimination. If you are disciplined more harshly, given lesser benefits, less salary, harassed, hostile environment, given less desirable work to do, or receive discriminatory statements on a regular basis, you might be the victim of discrimination.  Your employer could be in violation of Massachusetts General Laws 151B, see http://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXXI/chapter151B or Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, see www.eeoc.gov/laws/statutes/titlevii.cfm
If you feel like you are being treated differently than similarly situated co-workers, those with same title, job status, or salary, and it might be because of something unrelated to job performance, you may want to consult with an attorney. There is no reason for you to put up with that type of conduct. A lawyer at Mann Law Firm P.C. can help you determine if your claims are meritorious, and if so, work with you to develop your claims to help you accomplish your goal of either freeing the workplace of discrimination or the discriminatory actor, or separating from the company and negotiating a severance package and separation agreement.

Mann Law Firm P.C. is a personal injury and litigation firm with a focus in Employment Law. We represent mostly individuals against their employers who have wrongfully terminated them, discriminated against them, wrongfully withheld wages, violated public policy, Americans With Disabilities claims, Federal Medical Leave Act violations, violations of good faith and fair dealing, and Whistleblower claims. We provide a free consultation, and if we determine your case is viable, we will request a personnel file from your employer and complete an investigation and analysis regarding your claims. We will then work with you to develop your claims and prepare and serve a demand letter on your employer where we bring to their attention the State and Federal rules they have violated, your damages, and your settlement demand. We will work tirelessly to negotiate a compensation package and separation agreement on your behalf. If we are not able to settle your claims against your employer we may file a Complaint on your behalf at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Trial Court, or the Federal Court. We will then litigate your case to Judgment, Mediate, or settle your claims, and collect funds for you. So at the end of the day you receive a settlement to help you bridge the gap to when you find your next job.
We will also try to ensure that the employer will not bad mouth you to prospective employers, get you a Confidentiality agreement, optimize your chances of obtaining unemployment benefits, and other ordinary separation terms, so that your interests are protected and that you can navigate through a precarious time when you are without income and scrambling to maintain your lifestyle.

  • I worked with the firm and specifically with Tim on an employer issue and severance agreement negotiation. I was impressed with Timothy D. Rodden as being very professional and above anything else a realistic person. He would always focus on the matter and what can be done to resolve the issue rather than think of his fee. I highly recommend them for the employment related issues. Keep up the good work Tim! Thank you for your help!
